Engineering
VMI offers many advantages to men and women students who are interested in majoring in engineering. VMI engineering offers a balance between theory and practical hands-on engineering with three accredited engineering programs: Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.
Some advantages of attending a small undergraduate college like VMI are:
- Small class sizes where professors know you personally
- Full-time professors with Ph.D. degrees teach classes and grade assignments
- Within 4 months of graduation 97 percent of VMI graduates are employed or admitted to graduate or professional schools.
If you are interested in the military you can earn a commission in the Army, Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps. However, you do not have to seek a commission in the armed forces.
