Science
Science has always been one of the great strengths of VMI. Regardless of major, a cadet receives a well-rounded education. Cadets majoring in one of the Sciences will find a challenging curriculum, respected professors, and well-resourced departments that will prepare them to move directly to a rewarding career or to pursue graduate studies.
Graduates of the Science departments have become doctors, scientists, scholars, civil servants, and business leaders. A science education is also a sound foundation for success in the military service.
A cadet may be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Physics. Either a Bachelor of Science degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree may be awarded in Biology, Chemistry or Psychology.
