Jackson - Hope Fund
Named after the annual cadet award for the highest academic achievement at VMI, the Jackson-Hope Medal, the Fund was created in 2001 by a group of generous donors to provide resources specifically for the improvement of VMI’s academic program.
Each year, following a rigorous internal review process that is tied to the Institute’s strategic planning processes, the Jackson-Hope Board of Overseers considers proposals for grants to academic departments and programs. Individual awards range from several hundred to many thousands of dollars—all intended to enable the Institute to realize its goal of becoming a premier undergraduate college.
