VMI Foundation Call Center Manager

Established in 1937 and based on VMI’s historic Post in Lexington, Virginia, the VMI Foundation, Inc. is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated solely to raising and managing the private financial resources for the advancement of the Virginia Military Institute.

The VMI Foundation invites applicants for the position of Call Center Manager. This full-time position will have the primary responsibility of managing all phone solicitations as well as provide support for the Annual and Reunion Giving team. He or she will lead and manage a staff of cadet callers that is responsible for solicitation of alumni.

Duties will include recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, evaluating and retaining of all cadet employees. The Call Center Manager will provide leadership throughout the yearly calling and will function as the Call Center daily operations manager. The Call Center Manager will understand overall Phonathon operations and best practices, shift supervision, and RuffaloCody’s CampusCall software, as well as, participate in the development of the strategic solicitation plan. He or she will recommend calling strategies and policies by evaluating Call Center outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and obtaining goal requirements. The Call Center Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Annual and Reunion Giving.

Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer three to five years of annual giving experience, particularly as it relates to higher education and call center operations. Possess effective, interpersonal and communications skills, with a focus on writing and public speaking. Leadership and strong management abilities are required. Experience with MS Office Suite, RuffaloCody’s CampusCall and Raiser’s Edge is preferred. Flexibility and the ability to work evenings are required.
