Online Account Request Workflow and Auditing

Paper account requests in a growing technical environment are inefficient, wasteful and difficult to audit. In a campus environment it can mean paper requested being sent via campus mail outside of the control of the accounts team. On the other hand, developing the enterprise services, the identity services and the workflow to allow for an online account request process can be a daunting proposition.
This session will outline ODU's efforts to address the inefficiency and inaccuracy of paper account requests by embarking on a multi-year effort to develop enterprise services, to develop identity management services, and to develop a workflow product. The result is a solution that is faster, more efficient and more accurate, that provides for easier onboarding and separations, better account auditing, easier internal transfers, and that removes the need for campus mail.
