Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair
Future dates:  March 28 – 29, 2014 & March 27 – 28, 2015

The Virginia State Science Fair, founded in 1985, started out with a little more than 100 projects and has grown considerably to include participants from 18 regions across the commonwealth. Nearly 300 Virginia high school students participated in the 2013 Fair on 6 April, presenting individually or in teams a total of 240 projects. More than 70 expert judges from higher education and businesses across the commonwealth volunteered their time. Congratulations to the three Grand Prize winners who will represent Virginia at the 2013 Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in Phoenix, May 12 – 17, 2013. Virginia Secretary of Technology Jim Duffey presented the 1st Grand Prize as “The Governor’s Award and Grand Prize.” Congratulations to all participants for your outstanding work and to the Grand Prize recipients:
