VMI is a small, highly rated undergraduate institution with a strong emphasis on teaching and undergraduate research. We seek an individual whose teaching and research interests are focused on aspects of physiology that complement the expertise of the faculty, which includes, but is not limited to, the disciplines of neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology and ecology of plants and animals.

In addition, the new hire will be expected to participate in the planning and execution of an Exercise Science minor jointly sponsored by the Biology and Physical Education Departments. The successful applicant will be committed to undergraduate education and will develop an active research program involving students.
