2012-12-18, 0700 hours - Phishing Alert

The email message below is an example of a phishing message that has been received to multiple users on Post:

The link in the message takes users to a site and this screen is displayed:

Should you ever receive this type of message or any similar messages, please follow the below procedures: 

1. DO NOT reply to the message 
2. DO NOT click on any links or attempt to “Download Pictures” within the email 
3. DO NOT provide the sender with any username, password, or personal information 
4. DELETE the message 
5. NEVER provide your personal information to anyone

If you mistakenly clicked on the link in the original email and entered username/password information, please change your password immediately.  Please contact the Help Desk at Help@vmi.edu or call 7643 if you have any questions.
