Catharine Gilliam is the holder of the Thomas Bahnson and Anne Bassett Stanley Professorship in Ethics and Integrity for 2013-14. Ms. Gilliam earned a bachelor of Architectural History from the University of Virginia School of Architecture and a Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee School of Law. She was a Litigation Associate at the Richmond law firm McGuire Woods before becoming Assistant General Counsel of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Having served as staff or as consultant to many non-profits since 1984, she has extensive experience helping organizations shape public policy. In 2009, she established Community Collaboration LLC, a consulting practice based in Lexington.
