Our faculty have been hard at work publishing research in academic journals as well as presenting their research at various conferences around the country and the world.
Over the past academic year, our cadets were fortunate enough to hear from several speakers both from academia and business.
The VMI Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI) was established by directive of the Dean of Faculty to more fully integrate student scholarly inquiry into the VMI experience.
The Cadet Investment Group
The Cadet Investment Group (CIG) was founded in 1986 by the VMI Foundation. The group’s mission is to learn about investing. To do this, members serve as investment analysts and portfolio managers.
In the summer of 2009, five cadets participated in the inaugural summer of the department’s “internship for credit” program.
SBD and ODE Activity
The Sigma Beta Delta, the Honor Society for Business and Omicron Delta Economics Honor Society were quite active this past year thanks to the leadership provided by Cadets Thompson and Johnston.
The Annual ODE Banquet to honor our top cadets was held on April 8th.
Calling all members of the Classes of 1994 and 2004.
