Rockbridge Farmers Alliance
Rockbridge Farmers Alliance
We are an agricultural alliance of family farms in central Virginia
working together in a spirit of cooperation. We provide a diverse selection of
fresh healthy food to our community directly from our farms. While not Certified
Organic our produce is grown sustainably, without the use of synthetic chemical
fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, or hormones, and never any GMOs!
We also collaborate with other regional farms who share our growing
practice philosophy to provide a wide variety of farm products for your
enjoyment, convenience, and health.

YOUR SOURCE FOR
LOCALLY GROWN FOOD, DIRECT FROM THE FARMER
CSA? CSA stands for
Community Supported Agriculture. It is a method of purchasing farm goods
directly from local farms that benefits both the farmer and the consumer. CSA
members commit to purchase their shares at the beginning of the season and then
receive a weekly delivery of farm products during the season. In this age of
industrial global agribusiness, your local family farms appreciate your
Rockbridge Farmers Alliance different? We are a group of farmers joining together to bring more
local products to our CSA customers. Together we can offer more diversity and
you can source more of your food directly from local producers. While a CSA
customer typically shares the risks and rewards with the farmer, multiple
farmers minimize your risk while maximizing rewards.
How does it
work? CSA members
pay a subscription fee to join. Then they choose whatever number and type of
shares they wish to purchase from the list of available shares. Members can
sign up by mail, over the phone, or by email. Members then pay a deposit
followed by monthly payments, or pay in full, with the balance paid by September
30. After that, just come to the delivery location once a week and pick up your
fresh farm products!
We offer a 30-week season, from Thursday May 1 to Thursday November 20.
