FEED THE BIRDS!!!
With cold weather on the way, and fewer insects, seeds and berries to snack on, birds that spend the winter in Rockbridge are searching for another reliable source of food. It's time to put out the feeders and welcome birds back to your yard.
This fall, the Rockbridge Bird Club is holding its first-ever seed sale and donating the proceeds to Boxerwood Nature Center. Local residents can stock up on high-quality black oil sunflower seed, thistle, gourmet seed mixes and suet - foods high in protein, calories and fat that will attract a wide variety of birds. The sale also includes a small selection of feeders.
HOW TO ORDER SEEDS
Product information and an order form are available on the Boxerwood webpage.
Proceeds from the seed sale fundraiser will go to Boxerwood to support conservation of its bird-friendly habitat. By participating in the seed sale, you'll be helping the birds - and Boxerwood!
