Hardware

New laptop recommendations will be posted by May 1st of each year.

Cadet owned computers must be a laptop, or notebook computer. No desktop computers will be permitted in barracks. All computer systems operating on the VMI LAN must contain a Network Interface Card (NIC).

VMI recommends DELL laptops with 4 year Onsite warranty. With the onsite coverage, laptops are repaired at VMI by a Dell technician.  For a complete list of approved laptops click here.

Software

Microsoft Office Professional is provided by VMI for all cadets.

Trend Micro OfficeScan Version 8.0 Antivirus Software is provided by VMI for all cadets.
