Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology/Leadership (tenure-track)

The Department of Psychology at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) invites applications for a tenure-track position to teach a core-curriculum course in leadership science and other courses in psychology. The appointment begins January 2018. Degree requirements for the position include a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Psychology with academic qualifications to teach leadership courses. Normal teaching load is 3:3.
VMI is an all undergraduate military college that is consistently ranked as a top public liberal arts college. All 1700 students live on campus and about 50% commission in the US Armed Forces. Faculty wear uniforms but no prior service is required. It is located in the southern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Lexington, population 7,000, is also home to Washington and Lee University and offers a stimulating cultural atmosphere in a pleasant, rural setting.
