How and When to Apply

Application for early decision may be made from September 1 until November 15. Application for regular decision may be made from September 1 until February 1.

All transfer applicants must submit the following items:

1. The completed application form with a check of $40 payable to VMI. This is a non-refundable fee.
    
2. An official transcript of the high school record.
    
3. An official transcript of the college(s) record. In addition, a current copy of the college catalogue(s) from all post-secondary institutions attended.
    

Standardized test scores: Either the College Board Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I) or American College Testing Program (ACT) are required. If the applicant’s first language is not English, the College Board Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. The minimum score is 500 (173, computer-based total).
