Scuba School (Combat Diver Qualification Course)
5th SFG at Ft. Campbell, KY or USAJFKSWC at Ft. Bragg, NC and Key West, FL
- 4 week course designed to instruct personnel for waterborne operations, emphasizing long range underwater navigation, deep dives, medical risks and precautions of diving, surface/subsurface operations, and a Water Infiltration Course
- Four phase POI which demands peak physical endurance and cardiovascular fitness. The first two weeks focus on fitness and ability to undergo a series of tests and evaluations to include a "Harassment Dive"
- The second two weeks focus on longer dives, subsurface orienteering, classroom instruction (marine hazards, dive tables, oceanic environments, etc), followed by an end of course test.
