Phi Eta Sigma was founded at the University of Illinois in 1923 to recognize and promote superior scholarship among freshmen. The society has established chapters in over three hundred institutions of higher learning in the United States. VMI s Chapter is the 327th, established in 1998.
Qualifications for membership:
All Fourth Class Cadets who are in good standing and have earned a 3.5 or higher GPA in the fall semester (not including STP).
