Every morning VMIT will be performing scheduled server maintenance to the VMI Windows based server systems from 0600 to 0630 hours. Maintenance may include updating operating systems with patches or fixes, installation & configuration of software, performance tuning for optimal operation, hard disk drive de-fragmentation, email server optimization, security updates, system resource clean-up, database health checks, and system reboots.
IT has adopted this procedure in an effort to prevent disruptions of services during the Institute's normal business hours. Our goal is to provide the VMI user community with highly available, reliable, secure, & efficient network services such as file storage, data backup, Internet access, database connectivity, file transfer, electronic mail, and more.
