Virtual Exhibits
The VMI Fine Art Collection consists of paintings and sculpture representing the history of VMI, prominent alumni, and significant artists. Many prominent VMI Alumni, such as George Marshall, VMI 1901, "Chesty Puller, VMI 1927, George Patton, VMI 1907, are included. Recognized 19th and 20th century artist are represented, such as Norman Rockwell, Julian Scott, Moses Ezekiel, N.C. Wyeth and Edwin Forbes.

Painting
The vast majority of paintings in the VMI Collection are portraits of alumni, cadets, and faculty. Several exceptional 19th century landscapes by William D. Washington are included in the collection. Among the artist represented are N.C. Wyeth, Norman Rockwell and Julian Scott
Sculpture
VMI has several important pieces of sculpture, including one of the oldest heroic castings in America-- George Washington by William Hubbard, 1856. Among the graduates of VMI is Sir Moses Ezekiel who's works are found in collections around the world.
Raeburn Collection
In April 2001 Robert A. Raeburn, VMI Class of 1951, presented his superb collection of Civil War Art to his Alma Mater. The painting and sculpture are the work of artist who left the studio to join the war effort during the years of 1861-1865. Celebrated painters such as Julian Scott and Henry Forbes are represented in the collection.
