Boxing
The VMI Boxing team is composed of the competitive team and the club team. The difference between the two is the competitive team will travel and fight other schools while the club team trains to improve prospects for the traveling team or for people who are satisfied with using boxing as there means to stay in shape.
The Club team is required to meet twice a week and the competitive team meets three times a week. The workouts include, circuits, road work, sparring, and skill training all in a weekly cycle that are designed by the coach. The team is for both beginners and experienced fighters who are looking for a physical challenge. The team has just come off a positive season and have high expectations for the upcoming year.
