Ice Hockey
VMI's Club Ice Hockey Team currently plays in the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference along with Christopher Newport University, Old Dominion, Lynchburg College, William & Mary, North Carolina State University, Radford University, UNC-Charlotte, and UNC-Wilmington.
The Keydets play their home games and practice at LaHaye Ice Center, located on Liberty University's campus. The team practices on the ice once a week on Wednesday and has two games on the weekend. VMI hockey is comprised of players from all four classes.

RESULTS
Friday, September 25, 2009--VMI traveled to NVCC (Northern Virginia Community College) in Reston, Virginia for their first game of the season. Northern Virginia rotated 4 lines of skaters to VMI's 2 lines and came up short, losing to VMI 6-4. Our team is obviously shorthanded as far as players go. We only have 18 players and play only 16. The team started the season off playing very well and will only get better as the season continues. VMI jumped out to a one to nothing lead and lead the game throughout the entire match.
Saturday, October 2, 2009--VMI played Liberty (D3) and held the lead (5-3) until 2:00 minutes left in the final periods when Liberty scored two unanswered goals to take the game into overtime. Liberty scored first in overtime to beat VMI in a non-divisional match up.
Friday, October 16, 2009--VMI played William and Mary and was defeated (7-0).
Friday, October 23, 2009--VMI played Liberty in Lynchburg and were defeated (8-4).
Saturday, October 24, 2009--VMI traveled to Prince William, VA and were edged out 5-3 by NOVA.
Friday, October 30, 2009--VMI came up shorthanded against William and Mary (8-4).
Saturday, October 31, 2009--VMI came up shorthanded against Geroge Mason (6-4).
