Physical Education Faculty Position

The Department of Physical Education at the Virginia Military Institute invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor commencing 1 August 2010.  Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will include teaching a variety of general physical education courses and activity classes, along with other areas depending on the candidate’s interest and experience and department needs.  Requirements for the position include a Ph.D or Ed.D in Physical Education, or a related field.  Experience with wrestling, boxing, swimming and outdoor adventure activities is desirable.  VMI is a state-supported, coeducational, national liberal arts college of 1500 students with a strong commitment to produce educated, responsible citizens.
