Scholarship Information

VMI offers a variety of privately endowed scholarships administered by the Financial Aid Office.   In most cases, students do not need to complete a separate application form, but are  considered automatically when they complete the VMI Financial Aid Application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Merit scholarships 
Awarded on the basis of academic and personal achievement.

ROTC Scholarships 
Can be applied to through their respective branches.
Not offered directly through VMI Financial Aid.

Comprehensive List of scholarships
Institutional funds constitute the greatest portion of scholarship aid to cadets. These include endowed funds and annual gifts provided by alumni and friends of the Institute which enable VMI to maintain a comprehensive financial aid program.
