Award Notification

Cadets will be notified of their financial aid award via email.  These awards are posted on their Post View account.  Incoming cadets will be notified by early April.  Upperclassmen will be notified by May or June.

Acceptance or Rejection of Student Loans

Cadets who are offered a subsidized or unsubsidized student loan as part of their financial aid award should accept or reject these loans in Post View.  For new cadets, your Post View account is activated as part of the admissions application process.  Contact the Admissions Office, (800) 767-4207, if you have any questions or experience difficulty accessing your Post View account.

If VMI makes the determination that the cadet does not meet the criteria for need-based financial aid, an unsubsidized Federal Direct student loan will be applied to their account.  Cadet loans are accepted or rejected in Post View.  In addition parents have the option of applying for a Federal Parent PLUS loan.  Please contact the Financial Aid office at (540) 464-7208 for further information.
