VMI’s chemistry majors enjoy small class sizes (even the freshmen general chemistry courses are limited to an enrollment of fewer than 25 students!), abundant research opportunities with the faculty, state of the art equipment, and a demanding, yet rewarding, environment that fosters excellence.
Our graduates go on to pursue a variety of interests including going on to Medical Schools, Graduate Schools in Chemistry, and other professional schools; pursuing careers in the chemical, biochemical and pharmaceutical industries at the B.S. level; and commissioning in one of the four branches of military service.
