Director of Football Operations-Part-Time

Virginia Military Institute (NCAA Division I) is accepting applications for a part-time Director of Football Operations.

Job Description:

Working under the direction of the Head Coach, this position will serve as key team member in organizing, planning, managing, and supervising services for the VMI football program. The position will function as a leader in the coordination of the following:

  • Budget oversight related to the execution and processing of football related purchases.
  • Compliance as it relates to NCAA and SoCon rules (CARA, Scheduling, etc).
  • Organize, and contract all aspects of Team Logistics (Transportation, lodging, and meals).
  • Completion of required travel documentation for all coaches ensuring compliance with VMI and Virginia State Policies.
  • Organize Team Yearly Calendars.
  • Organize Player Weekly Schedules.
  • Roster management with the Director of Recruiting.
  • Football Specific Liaison to: Dining Hall, Financial Aid, Bursar, Compliance, Academics, Training Room, Equipment Room, Officials, Business Office, Strategic Initiatives, Marketing, and Communications.
  • AFCA Membership Management.
  • Attendance at Team Meetings, Workouts, Practices, and Competitions.
  • Special Projects.
  • Coordinate of all Official and Unofficial Visits through our normal process, working with the Director of Recruiting to complete.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in coaching and recruiting at the college or university level desired.
