Preston's interlibrary loan (ILL) service allows patrons to borrow books, articles, and other publications from other libraries when Preston does not own them. There is no cost to the patron for this service.

Materials that are mailed generally take 5 days (or more) to arrive on average. Articles which are delivered electronically are usually received within 1-2 days on average.

Interlibrary loan accounts are automatically created for all VMI faculty, staff, and cadets. To initiate a request, or check your account, logon to the Interlibrary Loan system using your VMI network username and password.
