VMI Archives

Due to the renovation of Preston Library, physical access to collections in the Virginia Military Institute Archives will be unavailable for the next several months. On-site research appointments will not be permitted during this time. The VMI Archives staff will make every effort to provide patrons with digital access to the records they are seeking, but in some circumstances access to collections may not be possible until the renovation is complete. Questions can be submitted to the VMI Archives by email at archives@vmi.edu or by telephone at 540-464-7516.

The VMI Archives, located in Preston Library, contain a wealth of primary source collections of interest to both scholars and the general public.  Our growing digital archives allow researchers to access many of our most popular resources online.
