Yun Sun is currently a visiting fellow at the Center for Northeast Asia Policy Studies at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. where she is focusing on the analysis of China's national security decision-making system.
Her expertise is in Chinese foreign policy, U.S.-China relations and China's relations with authoritarian regimes. She was previously a China analyst for the International Crisis Group's Northeast Asia Project, based in Beijing from 2008 to early 2011. From 2004 to 2008, she worked for the Henry L. Stimson Center and the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation in Washington, DC focusing on U.S.policies towards China and East Asia.
Ms. Sun earned her Master's Degree in International Policy and Practice from George Washington University, an MA in Asia Pacific Studies and a BA in International Relations from the Foreign Affairs College in Beijing.
