Philip K. Howard
Philip K. Howard is the author of The Death of Common Sense (Random House, 1995) and Life Without Lawyers (Norton, 2009). He is founder and chair of Common Good, a non-profit organization that works to develop practical solutions to restore reliability to our legal system and revive the freedom to take responsibility at all levels of our society. He is the Vice-Chairman of Covington & Burling and a prominent civic leader in New York. Howard is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Virginia Law School.
