Session IX, C
The Assessment of Human Bioenergetics and its Relationship to Cardiorespiratory/ Aerobic Fitness
COL Thomas Baur, Ph.D.
The assessment of the volume of oxygen that one can consume during maximal exercise (VO2max) is considered the best measure of cardiorespiratory (CR) fitness. This workshop will address how VO2max is assessed and the scientific basis for the relationship between it and CR fitness. The goal is to link physical performance with cellular energy production and thereby link sports to science.
