Virginia Military Institute will be hosting the 2016 Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair (VSSEF) on Saturday, April 9, in Lexington, Virginia in Cameron Hall at Virginia Military Institute.
The Fair will feature over 200 of the best science and engineering projects from regional fairs across the state of Virginia. Serving as a category judge is a simple and rewarding way that you can offer service to STEM education in the commonwealth and a great opportunity to see some exciting work being done by many of our brightest high school students. Winners of the VSSEF will go on to represent Virginia at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
Projects will be grouped into 17 different categories:

2. Behavioral and Social Science
4. Cellular and Molecular Biology
6. Computer Science
7. Earth and Planetary Science
8. Energy and Transportation
9. Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical
10. Engineering: Material and Bioengineering
11. Environmental Management
12. Environmental Sciences
13. Mathematical Sciences
14. Medicine and Health Science
16. Physics and Astronomy
17. Plant Sciences
