Cadet Peer Educators at VMI
The Cadet Peer Educator (CPE) Group at VMI is an essential part of education and awareness on Post. CPE is comprised of cadets who are trained and nationally certified as Peer Educators through an organization known as Bacchus and Gamma. CPE plays a critical role in providing support and information to new cadets throughout matriculation week and their transition to college. In addition, CPE is actively engaged in developing and delivering awareness and prevention events for the Corps of Cadets.

How to Apply
If you are interested in being a CPE in the future, or have questions, please email Cpt Wadsworth.
The CPE application process begins by completing the Cadet Peer Educator Online Application.
As part of the application process you will select a member of the VMI Community (faculty, admin, etc.) to recommend you via a letter of recommendation. Once our office has received your application and the letter of recommendation, you may be invited for an interview. The interview is brief and is a time where the Program Coordinator, Cpt Wadsworth and the CIC for CPE the following year will ask some questions and get to know you better. We want a group of positive health role models, so it is not open enrollment.
Requirements for CPE membership include:
- Full-Time Enrollment for the year indicated
- No outstanding AC-Pro or Con-Pro
- 1 Week Training Prior to Matriculation (as part of Early Return)
