Jiu- Jitsu Club

The VMI Jiu -Jitsu club is affiliated with the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association based in Sterling, VA http://www.pedrosauer.com/default.asp and Hybrid Martial Arts in Roanoke, VA http://www.hybridroanoke.com    

The club practices Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and trains primarily in the gi. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that has been proven to be an effective method of self defense based on efficiency, patience, and control. The club also affords members the opportunity to compete in gi and no-gi tournaments.

Participation is restricted to cadets currently on the club roster and any cadets who are enrolled in a PE 315 Combatives course.

This is a gi only Jiu-Jitsu tournament. Proceeds will benefit Tony Conway and family. You must be 18 years or older to participate. IBJJF rules apply. Medals will be awarded to the top three placers at each belt rank/weight class.
