Lieutenant Colonel Nancy Jean-Louis, the USAFRICOM MilRep to USAID, has been a United States Army Ordnance Ammunition Officer since 1990 and Sub-Saharan Africa Foreign Area Officer (FAO) for the past 18 years.
She served in the Military in a variety of traditional and non-traditional assignments, to include combat tours in Iraq as an Ordnance Munitions Specialist, operation tours in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Korea, Germany and Cameroon.
LTC Jean-Louis is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Fellow. She holds a Master’s degree in International Security from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor degree in Mathematics from the University of Kansas.
She is fluent in French, Haitian Creole and Spanish with an extensive professional travel portfolio throughout the Continent of Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
She is married to COL Julian R. Williams, a U.S. Army Acquisition Officer; they have two daughters, Morgan and Jessica.
