Welcome to the Center for Cadet Counseling
As you move through the years at VMI, you may encounter times that seem to be stressful or difficult to handle. All areas of your life, personal, physical, emotional, and academic can be impacted by the stressors that are encountered daily. While stress and difficult circumstances are normal life experiences,
not everyone reacts to stress the same way. An indication of strength and maturity is acknowledging the need for assistance when stress seems exceptional or overwhelming.
The Center for Cadet Counseling is fully accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) and adheres to the highest standards of ethical conduct as outlined by the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Counseling Association (ACA), the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the internal governing policies of VMI.
Appointments may last up to an hour. Have multiple dates and times you are available and if this is an emergency.
