Applied Mathematics

• A strong background in mathematics with emphasis on operations research, statistics, and numerical methods.
• Industry-standard software including Matlab, MathCAD, and Mathematica
• Fully integrated smartrooms for instruction
• Great flexibility in the program to receive a strong technical background and have the ability to pursue minors (in Arabic for example) or double majors (recent double majors were in history, physics, civil engineering, and modern languages)
• Most of our graduates go into the military or industry, with some pursuing teaching (having a math degree doesn’t mean you’ll necessarily become a teacher!)
• Senior capstone projects (focusing on the study of real-world projects based on COMAP problems)
• Real-world research projects through the REMACS (Research Experiences in Mathematics and Computer Science) program.
