Lt. Col. Amy Goetz
Lt. Col. Amy Featherman Goetz is associate director of communications, director of marketing. She is responsible for the development and oversight of VMI's Strategic Marketing Plan, working to insure the communication of VMI's strong heritage and identity. She works closely with all aspects of marketing and communication for the institute.
Prior to her appointment, Lt. Col. Goetz was with Scott Sign Systems, Inc. the nation's largest interior sign manufacturer, for 13 years. She was the Managing Director of Marketing, overseeing all marketing and sales efforts, as well as customer service and order processing functions. While at Scott Sign Systems, Inc., she chaired the task force to develop the company's first strategic marketing plan and she co-authored the company's mission and vision statements. Lt. Col. Goetz was appointed to the Executive Committee for the company, which was responsible for its overall operation; sales, marketing, manufacturing, physical plant and human resources.
Following her experience at Scott Sign Systems, Inc., she was appointed Executive Director of the All Faiths Food Bank, a large dual-county non-profit agency, where she was responsible for the operation and marketing of the organization. She was elected to the board of the Florida Association of Food Banks to serve the state of Florida in its communication on the issues of those in need, working closely with top state officials. As Executive Director, Lt. Col. Goetz was invited to speak at regional and national conferences.
