The VMI Archives website features easy online access to full-text collections, images, and in-depth information about a wide range of historical topics relevant to our holdings. New material is added monthly. We have received national recognition as one of the top 95 sites for Civil War research in the Scholarly Resources publication The Civil War on the Web: A Guide to the Very Best Sites, and we are listed on the Best of History Web Sites. Our collections have been used in numerous scholarly publications and in History Channel, PBS, and many other media productions.
