I presented the research that LTC Hyre and I did on the “the impact of forehearth exit plane temperature distribution on final container quality.” The research was highly regarded and it was a pleasure to present. In addition, it will be a nice addition to my graduate school applications.

It was an incredible experience that broadened my education more than any classroom lecture ever could and I thank you.

I apologize that it has taken me this long to email you but I wanted to write you a quick update. I recently graduated from Kentucky with my MA and finished with a perfect 4.0. I also got the top national security scholar award and feel satisfied that I finished my academic career on top. I was offered and have accepted a position as a defense analyst at the Government Accountability Office in DC. I will be starting out in weapons acquisitions but will have an opportunity to rotate to different "teams" within GAO. I am very excited about this opportunity! I will also be moving into a fabulous apartment in Old Town Alexandria.

I guess all of my stressing and hard work is finally paying off. I also want you to know that the research skills you taught me when I did my independent study with you definitely paid off in graduate school. One of my professors was so impressed by my work this semester that he has asked me to co-write an article with him. Maybe someday you will see a publication with my name on it! I hope all is well with you. How have things been at school? My new year's resolution is to come and visit VMI in 2006 so I hope to see you in the new year.  Ryan Consaul
