    LEXINGTON, Va., Oct. 28, 2013 – VMI’s commandant, Col. Tom Trumps ’79, has announced his intent to depart the Institute in the summer of 2014.  Trumps assumed the duties of commandant in 2007.  His tenure is the longest period an individual has held the position of commandant since the 27-year tenure of Scott Shipp, who commanded the Corps of Cadets at the Battle of New Market.Read More →
