Donald M. Wilkinson '61
Donald M. Wilkinson is the chairman and chief investment officer of Wilkinson O’Grady, a registered investment firm he co-founded in 1972, that provides investment advice for trustees and actively manages investment portfolios for individuals and family groups. Before co-founding Wilkinson O’Grady, he was vice president and partner of New Court Securities Corporation, vice president of Tsai Management & Research, and Latin American debt analyst and portfolio manager of the Keystone International Equity Fund.
A member of the VMI Class of 1961, Wilkinson received an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business in 1966. He has actively served VMI since 1989 when he became a member of the VMI Foundation’s Board of Trustees, serving until 1996. He received an appointment to the VMI Board of Visitors in 1999 and served on that board until 2007. From 2000 to 2005, Wilkinson was vice chairman of VMI’s most recent capital campaign, Reveille: A Call to Excel, having previously served as a volunteer with VMI’s Sesquicentennial Challenge campaign in the late 1980s.
