Alumni and friends of VMI can support the Institute and its cadets through the joint effort of the VMI Foundation and the VMI Keydet Club known as Annual Giving. Through the Foundation Fund, the Keydet Club Scholarship Fund, the Athletic Operations Fund, and Team-Specific Scholarships, this effort raises unrestricted money for academic and co-curricular programs, grant-in-aid assistance for cadet-athletes, and the operations of intercollegiate athletics.
Athletic Operations Fund: The Institute’s intercollegiate program and its committed coaches and staff receive important financial support through this Fund.
Foundation Fund: Through the Foundation Fund, VMI’s alumni and friends provide the unrestricted support that helps VMI sustain and improve its renowned academic and co-curricular programs.
Keydet Club Scholarship Fund: VMI’s cadet-athletes accept the considerable challenges of being cadets as well as training and competing at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics: the NCAA’s Division I. Members of the VMI Family provide grant-in-aid scholarship assistance to these extraordinary young people through the Keydet Club Scholarship Fund.
Team Scholarship Funds: Alumni and friends can meet the scholarship needs of VMI’s eighteen intercollegiate athletic teams—the members of which make up more than 30% of the Corps of Cadets—by giving to one of the funds which support them.
