Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers
The IEEE is the largest professional technical society in the world. It supports the fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering via activities such as publishing technical journals and magazines, providing professional development to its members, and drafting and maintaining standards.
All faculty in the VMI ECE Department are members. I am currently a Senior Member, have been involved with IEEE since my days as an undergraduate and have been active in both student branches and local sections. I have served as the secretary-treasurer, vice-chair and chair of the Virginia Mountain Section. I am currently the branch counselor for the VMI Student Branch, chair of the Virginia Mountain Section Computers, Controls, and Industrial Electronics Societies Chapter and am the Region 3 coordinator for the Computer Society.
