Pennie Ticen teaches Modern and Contemporary British Literature, as well as Introduction to Literary Research, Composition, and British Literature surveys.  She specializes in post-colonial and world literature. Recent scholarly projects include an article published in The Toronto Review on the works of Kashmiri poet Agha Shahid Ali, conference presentations on the essays of Salman Rushdie, and a book manuscript which explores the trope of disrupted paternity in James Joyce, Salman Rushdie, and Derek Walcott.
