More Information

The Civil War Day Camp allows children to participate in such activities as the School of the Soldier (the process of turning raw recruits into infantrymen) and a guided tour of the battlefield. Day campers learn about life on the home front with domestic chores such as fence building. Among the day camps’ other components are 19th-century games, Civil War camp songs and viewing the Emmy award-winning film, Field of Lost Shoes.

$20 per recruit per day. Sign up for all five days and save $20.00--five days of fun for the price of four! Limited to 30 campers per session (minimum of five campers needed for program to take place) so sign up early to reserve your spot.

  • 19th century crafts
  • Infantry drill
