Inspector General & Title IX

Undertakes or supervises official investigations as needed/directed and coordinates the development and review of policies, procedures, and training programs.

Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment

Assists in planning, implementation, support, and security of the technology needs of the Institute.

Institutional Review Board

Provides approvals and oversight for research by VMI cadets, faculty, and staff involving human participants, and on research conducted using members of the VMI community.

Supports faculty and staff during international travel using VMI funds or led by VMI employees.

Operations and Planning

Supports VMI’s effectiveness through comprehensive planning, resource coordination, and operational oversight.

Provides reference and research services, and access to a wide range of resources for use in the classroom and in research endeavors.

Procurement Services and Accounts Payable

Facilitates and oversees Institute purchasing, supplier and vendor contracts, and payment solutions and services.

Protocol Office

Provides direct support for visitors involved with the superintendent and his staff.

VMI Archives

Maintains a robust collection of primary source documents related to the history of the Institute for research and teaching.

VMI Museum System

Available for collaboration for employee education regarding VMI as well as academic course topics and materials.

VMI Police

Provides safety and security on and adjacent to post and VMI-owned properties during day-to-day activities and special events.
