    - The unique military aspect of a VMI cadetship prepares the next generation of leaders to serve with discipline, honor, and integrity.

    - VMI is among the very few colleges that offer ROTC options in Army, Naby, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force.
    - Naval ROTC
    - The Naval ROTC Unit provides two programs in which cadets may enroll: US Navy or US Marine Corps.
