Capt Brendon Baker serves as an Associate Professor of Aerospace Studies at the Virginia Military Institute, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 880, in Lexington VA. His responsibilities include the instruction and development of AFROTC cadets for air and space across four college campuses in the South East Region, with the mission to build the future leaders of the U.S. Space Force and Air Force.

Capt Baker commissioned as a Space Operations Officer in the USAF through AFROTC at Utah State University where he served as a Cadet Wing Commander over 130 cadets. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in physics in May 2017. In Sept 2020, he transferred his commission into the United States Space Force.
