Communications and Marketing manage the social media accounts that represent the Institute as a whole. Many departments and programs separately maintain many other accounts.
Any VMI department, club, or other unit needing to register or update a social media account must fill out the Social Media Directory Registration Form. When submitting a newly created social media account, please provide any URLs for existing accounts so they can be added to our Social Media Directory.
Remember, you must receive permission from the supervisor as appointed by your department head (or unit) before establishing any new accounts.
Upon reviewing the social media policies and guidelines, if you have any questions or need help with your account(s), contact our Marketing Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also request official branding from that office for use on your account.

Social Media Comment Policy
VMI social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, Instagram, and LinkedIn) are where students, parents, alumni, and others can learn about and enjoy a view of life and happenings at the Institute.
We encourage fans and followers to post, comment, and interact with others and expect that remarks will be on-topic and respectful of the rights and opinions of others. Posted comments do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the Institute. VMI reserves the right to terminate access to pages by repeat offenders.
