Communications and Marketing manage the social media accounts that represent the Institute as a whole. Many other accounts are separately maintained by departments and programs.
Contact VMI Communications and Marketing prior to establishing new accounts in an effort to prevent duplication of effort and unnecessary proliferation of pages and accounts.
You must receive permission from the supervisor as appointed by your department head before establishing any new accounts. Once the account is created, notify Maj. Kelcey Leach, Marketing Director at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide her with contact information for at least one administrator for the account. We encourage departments to have at least two account administrators in the event one of the administrators cannot be reached.
You may also request official branding from Maj. Leach for use on your account.

Social Media Comment Policy
VMI social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, Instagram, and LinkedIn) are where students, parents, alumni, and others can learn about and enjoy a view of life and happenings at the Institute.
We encourage fans and followers to post, comment and interact with others, and expect that remarks will be on-topic and respectful of the rights and opinions of others. Posted comments do not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of the Institute. VMI reserves the right to terminate access to pages by repeat offenders.
